Twin Volvo Penta TAMD 41A, 6 cylinder, turbo-charged marine diesels, rated at up to 200
HP each, driving three bladed propellers through conventional stainless shafts within hull tunnels. Stern seals are of the Volvo Penta (dripless) lip seal type.
Engine hours as at 09/07/19: Starboard - 1574. Port - 1586.
A remote/automatic engine room shut-down system by 'Seafire' is fitted, with control panel at the helm position.
Hydraulic, stainless steel trim tabs by Bennett are fitted to the transom.
Steering is by hydraulic system, with a helm indicator fitted to the helm's wheel. A Simrad AP11 autopilot is fitted.
Two 120A/hr AGM batteries by Varta provide the engine cranking capacity, while two more batteries are fitted for domestic and 'Service' requirements. Charging by means of the engine-driven alternators and an AC battery charger when connected to shore power.
An AC distribution panel is located in the 'Entertaining Galley' and has a 5-way circuit
breaker panel together with AC voltmeter and Load Ammeter.
Twin aluminium fuel tanks, located to either side of the engine space offer a maximum
capacity of 953 litres (stated usable capacity 904 litres). A comprehensive fuel manifold
system is fitted to be able to isolate either tank from the other and to be able to run either engine independently from either tank.
Freshwater tankage: 193 litres.
