Sails & Spars
Selden mast and boom, branded as a Kemp spars, with inner and outer forestays and Plastimo reefing gear fitted to the inner forestay in 2015 and replacement standing rigging fitted 2013.
Two slab reefs for mainsail (hooked at gooseneck), with double-fall lazyjacks to assist in controlling the lowered mainsail.
Aluminium alloy telescopic spinnaker boom.
Mainsail plus previous (spare) by Shore Sails, 130% Genoa (hanked for use on outer forestay); Roller reefing Jib (inner forestay), hanked Jib, Ghosting genoa, Asymmetric Spinnaker, Storm Jib.
Laid out with the four berths - two quarter berths and two independent and staggered forward berths, with a heads to starboard abaft the starboard berth and forward of a part bulkhead. A large, fixed chart table/galley working surface and large locker space is provided to starboard, opposite the standard galley which is to port. An Origo methylated spirit stove with two burners obviates the need for gas on board.

History & Construction
Factory completed by Victoria Marine Ltd. in August 1981, this Frances has been laid ashore each winter (an overall winter cover is also included in her inventory of equipment). Her underwater surfaces were epoxy coated in 1997 and her wooden rudder re-sheathed and epoxied in 2011.
A replacement engine was fitted in 1994.
Her standing rigging was replaced in 2013, when lazy jacks and an outer forestay and roller reefing system were also fitted, together with the lazy jacks for the mainsail.
Much of the modern instrumentation and the AIS and DSC capable VHF dates from 2013.
